About The Conference
Overview
The appropriate nutrition in the first years of a childhood provides the essential building blocks for optimal immunity, nerve development as well as healthy growth. Around 40% of children are overweight or obese, and research shows that they are likely to stay that way or get worse. The consequences of being infected with COVID-19, weight gain, changes in nutrition and lifestyle habits, the presence of metabolic disorders and hospitalization are affecting the children health and may be for long life.

The dramatic changes that have been ensued during COVID 19 in pediatric nutrition and lifestyle behavior will be addressed through presenting the most recent studies conducted in this field. The focus will be on the most prevalent metabolic disorders in Qatar and other nearby countries.
Attending the conference will enhance the skills and critical thinking of dietitians and other healthcare professionals and will update their knowledge to catch up with the most recent research findings and practices in pediatric nutrition.
Objectives
The objectives of the conference are directed to the health issues that Qatar and other Arabic countries are struggling to prevent and reduce their prevalence. Preventing pediatric diseases related to diet and lifestyle behaviors rather than treating these diseases will be a very helpful and significant approach in preparing a community with healthy adults.
