This conference aims to contribute to achieving the vision and mission of Qatar University, foremost of which is to enrich knowledge, develop research and academic work, and reaching practical outputs that help push the path forward. The Ibn Khaldon Center for Humanities and Social Sciences aims to spread awareness related to its research, within the framework of overlapping specializations or interdisciplinary studies, on the grounds that it researches the same phenomenon but from multiple angles and specializations and overlapping political, economic, security and social contexts. The center bridges the gap between theory and practice and presents ideas and proposals that are acceptable for development or application at the academic or political level alike.

The conference will shed light on the center and its research activities, and provide a high percentage of networking and bridging opportunities with academic institutions, researchers and experts, not only between Arab institutions and their Turkish counterparts, but also on a larger scale, in addition to the positive impact that the conference will have on the level of public relations. It will contribute to researching and strengthening Arab-Turkish relations on solid scientific foundations, away from political fluctuations and false impressions.

In addition, the conference will help transform into a distinct regional and international platform for discussing joint Arab-Turkish issues to become a mecca for serious researchers and attract new ideas and new projects related to the topic of research; as well as shedding light on priority research tracks in Arab-Turkish relations, and opening research tracks for graduate students in various humanitarian and scientific disciplines
