    Student Auxiliary Services

    The Student Auxiliary Services Section is one of the three sections under the umbrella of the Student Services Department that provides various of unique services that ease the students’ life within Qatar University. Our services includes QU Campus Card, Student Locker Service, Self-Photocopying, and Stationary Store.

    Our Mission

    To provide the essential auxiliary services needed by the students to ease their lives at Qatar University.

    Welcome to the Student Campus Card (SCC) Service

    The SCC service provides the official identification card for enrolled students at Qatar University. The campus card is mandatory for all students and facilitates their access to a full range of facilities and services across campus.

    Campus Card Uses

    The Campus Card is used for all services available at the university.

    How to obtain your campus card?

    Please note that only the first issuance of the Campus Card is free of charge, then will be charged by QAR 50 for any issuance for it (if any)

    All QU active students may apply online for their student campus card. Please read the following instructions:

    1. Please complete the online Campus Card request and enter the username and password you used to access your QU email.
    2. Please ensure to check your email to get the photo approval email before you book an appointment for card issuance through the Appointment Manager System. You may go through the step-by-step for more details. After receiving the photo approval email, you can apply for an appointment for the following day as the cards are prepared in advance.
    3. If your card validity is expired, you can still use it and there is no need to get a new one.
    4. Present your Qatari ID or passport for identification to receive your Campus ID Card.
    5. Bringing a companion into the Section is not allowed, except for students with special needs.

    Qatar University provides lockers service for the students to facilitate the daily storage of learning materials and materials related to their studies. The Student Auxiliary Services Section supervises the lockers to ensure the proper use of university’s property according to the service policies as well as the university’s security and safety procedures and regulations.

    How to apply for Locker Services?

    1. The student should review the locker location in the building he/she wants to subscribe in it before the applying process.
    2. The students should apply electronically for the locker service through My Banner systemaccording to the specific period announced by the Student Auxiliary Section in each semester (Instructions Guide).
    3. The student should visit the section to collect the key during the specific period announced in each semester.
    4. Payment Methods: students can pay the locker service fees through the e-payment system which is available 24/7, or at the treasury office in the Student Affairs Building (I11). Note: the fees are imposed at the end of each semester.

    Conditions and restrictions for using lockers

    1. Using the locker to keep study materials and any materials related to it.
    2. The students must ensure that the locker is locked properly and the key is removed from the lock.
    3. Do not keep non-educational materials in the locker.
    4. Do not copy or share your locker keys with anyone.
    5. Unsubscribe Period: The locker must be cleared and the key must be returned to the section during the specific period announced by the section each semester.
    6. In Emergency Cases (or in case of policies violation): the Student Auxilisry Section has the right to open the student locker without the student permission.
    7. Graduate Clearance (or Student Withdraw):
      • The student must apply electrically for clearance request through My Banner system.
      • the student must return the locker key to the Student Auxiliary Section either by visiting the section or delegating another person to proceed the clearance request.
      • In case of the third-party delegation: the student should send an email from his/her QU student email mentioning the delegated person to proceed the clearance request.

    General Policies for Lockers Service

    1. Students are allowed to subscribe to a maximum of two lockers according to the following restrictions:
      • Male: One locker is in the student activity building (Male) and the other is in the student's college.
      • Female Students: One locker is in the Student Activity Building (C05), or the Women Main Building C04, or Women’s Sports Facility (D03),or Female Classrooms Building (GCR) (D06), and the other in the student's college.
    2. The student is not allowed to change his/her locker (during the semester) unless the locker is damaged.
    3. The student can apply for key replacement for his/her locker. (Guide Instructions)
    4. Locker Service Unsubscribe: at the end of each semester, it is allowed for the students who want to unsubscribe from the locker service (during the announced period) to proceed according to the following:
      • The student must clear the locker and keep it clean.

      • The student must return the locker key to the Student Auxiliary Services Section during the specified period and dates announced by the section.
      • If the student lost the locker key and his/her belongings are inside, the student must visit the Student Auxiliary Services Section during the specified announced period then the section’s staff will coordinate to solve the case.
      • Lost Key fees QAR 50 will be charged (for each locker) to be paid, and then the section will cancel the subscription and approve the clearance.

    If the locker key is lost and there are items inside:

    1. The student has to come to the Student Auxiliary Services Section according to the specified periods and dates announced by the section and notify the employee, after that coordination will be made with you to vacate the locker.
    2. A key loss fee of 50 riyals will be charged for each locker to be paid, and then the section will cancel the subscription and approve the clearance.

    If the student lost the locker key and his/her are not inside:

    1. The student must send an email from his/her student university email to the locker service email student.lockers@qu.edu.qa during the specified periods and dates announced by the section.
    2. A key loss fee of 50 riyals will be charged for each locker to be paid, and then the section will cancel the subscription and approve the clearance.

    Service fees:

    • The locker subscription service fee is 25 Qatari riyals per semester.
    • The application fee for a replacement lost key is 25 Qatari riyals (in the event that the key is lost by the student and the locker subscription service is still active).
    • A fine of 50 Qatari riyals for losing the key (in case the student wants to cancel the locker subscription or apply for clearance and the locker key cannot be returned).
    • The locker subscription fees (25 Qatari Riyals) is automatically renewed each semester unless the student cancels his/her subscription during the cancellation period announced by the section.

    Overview

    The Student Auxiliary Services Section launched the E-Lockers Service for Qatar University students. As a part of Qatar's National Vision 2030 which aims to enhance the digital economy, integrate information technology systems, and improve the quality of services provided in Qatar University's departments and colleges. This service allows students to access and manage their lockers easily through a digital interface using advanced technology, thus facilitating student life and enhancing the student experience on campus.

    The Student Auxiliary Services Section offers a secure and convenient storage solution that facilitates the QU student’s life as well as enhances the overall campus experience through an efficient solution.

    E-Lockers Benefits:

    • Convenience: Students can securely store their belongings on campus without the need to carry them around all day, enabling them to move freely between classes and activities.
    • Enhanced Focus: Students can focus more on their studies and campus activities without worrying about losing their locker keys in addition to the safety of their belongings. This peace of mind contributes to a conducive learning environment.
    • Security: The electronic lockers provide a high level of security for students' personal items, reducing the risk of theft or loss compared to traditional lock-and-key systems.
    • Accessibility: The digital interface of the e-lockers allows students to easily access and manage their locker space, providing a user-friendly experience for storing and retrieving items as needed.
    • Environmental Sustainability: Using e-lockers may reduce the consumption of disposable materials like keys and locks, contributing to the university's sustainability efforts and promoting eco-friendly practices among students.

    How to apply for E-Locker Service?

    1. Review the location of the locker to be subscribed to through the locker mapping page and inspect it before applying for it.
    2. The request has to be submitted electronically according to the specified date announced by the Student Auxiliary Services Section for each semester, kindly see the instruction Guide.
    3. The e-locker will be opened only by using the QU Campus Card, so please make sure that you have your student campus card with you regularly.
    4. Students can pay the locker service fees through the e-payment system, which is available 24/7, or at the treasury office in the Student Affairs Building (Male and Female).

    E-locker Usage Conditions:

    • Using the locker to keep study materials and any materials related to it.
    • Secure the locker by making sure that it is closed and its lock color is turned into red.
    • Evacuating the locker according to the specified time before the end of the cancellation period announced by the Student Auxiliary Services Section, in case the student wants to cancel the subscription.
    • Do not put non-educational materials in the locker.
    • Do not hand over the QU Campus Card to anyone else.
    • Do not keep food and drinks inside the locker.
    • In case of any violation of the conditions and restrictions of the locker service, or in case of an emergency, the Student Auxiliary Services Section (the locker service) has the right to open the locker without referring to the owner of the locker.

    General Policies for Lockers Service:

      • Female: One locker is in the Student Activities Building (Female), the Women's College of Science, or the Women's Main Building, and the other is in the student's college.
    • Students will not be allowed to change the locker unless there is an actual issue with the locker.
    • At the end of each semester, students who want to cancel their subscription or need a Clearance, have to do the following:
      • Clear the locker and leave it clean.
      • The student can cancel his/her subscription by applying for “Locker Cancellation Request" on E-lockers dashboard during the specified periods and dates announced by the section. The student must empty the locker from any of his/her belongings. Please note that the section have the right to open and clear the lockers of any belongings after the cancellation period without referring to the student and the belongings will be transferred to the relevant authorities.

    Service Fees:

    • The locker subscription service fee is 25 Qatari riyals per semester.
    • The locker subscription fees (25 Qatari Riyals) is automatically renewed each semester unless the student cancels his/her subscription during the cancellation period announced by the section.

    Overview of Self-Service Photocopying

    Student Auxiliary Services | Qatar University - Image1The Student Auxiliary Services Section is pleased to provide you with self-service photocopying machines for all QU-registered students. This service enables you to send print jobs from your own computer to the self-service photocopying machines around the campus, and the charges will be on your Banner account. Remember you must be connected to the QU network, and always carry your QU-ID card to use the service.

    Our self-service photocopying machines enable printing from any location on the campus network.

    The stationary store sells a wide range of stationery, classroom supplies, study and research tools, painting and technical materials, and books in Arabic and English in the Women’s Section. Please note, the Stationary Store also provides lamination, binding and scanning services. Students, faculty and staff are all welcome.
