Duties and Responsibilities
The Institutional Planning and Performance Department consists of two main sections, the Institutional Planning Section and the Institutional Performance Section. Its responsibilities include:
- Facilitating the development of Qatar University’s strategy for each strategic cycle.
- Supporting the implementation of the strategic plan in collaboration with various university units.
- Developing and enhancing procedures for the strategic planning process and facilitating their implementation.
- Monitoring and tracking the progress of objectives and key performance indicators to ensure the achievement of the strategic plan in alignment with the university’s mission and vision.
- Promoting a culture of strategic planning and raising awareness across the university community.
- Contributing to the preparation of studies and reports, and providing recommendations and advisory support on the strategic plan and university priorities to enhance strategic performance.
- Ensuring effective communication to support the implementation of strategic planning processes.
- Providing technical support to units involved in strategic planning across the university.
Processes and Procedures:
The Institutional Planning and Performance Department ensures that processes and procedures are clear and streamlined for all stakeholders, both within and outside the university. This is achieved through continuous communication, report preparation, conducting workshops, and organizing regular meetings with relevant units to clarify procedures and address inquiries.
